Weighing

The Mobil Grain legal-for-trade dual bulkweigher system certified by Canadian Weights and Measures and allows product to be weighed as it passes through the grain cleaning process.  It also provides legal-for-trade weights for the loaded railcar.  The central controlling computer system records the weights in combination with all product and control information. Product is processed on a producer batch-by-batch basis therefore at the completion of each batch, the gross, net, and dockage weight is exactly known. This information is automatically faxed to the producer and also available for him online by means of high-speed satellite Internet.

The mobile weighing system includes a central grading office with automatic samplers that sample the product as it flows through the process. Samples are retained of both the raw and cleaned product but the producer settlement is based on the "net clean" result. Basing the settlement of grade and dockage on actual processed results rather than the traditional system of estimated grade and dockage is much more accurate and fair for the producer. In addition, if the grade of the product is improved because of our cleaning process, the producer is paid on the final improved grade.
