Section 1: General
Item 100 | LMR Invoice Commitment
Last Mountain Railway will invoice for all LMR-performed chargeable services under this tariff after the services rendered completion date.
In the case of a dispute, the customer must provide LMR with a written declaration within 15 days of the invoice mailing date.
Item 105 | Scope of Tariff
This tariff covers rules, rates, and charges for Last Mountain Railway, operated by Mobil Grain Ltd.
Item 110 | Application of Authorized Increases
Rates and charges are subject to change upon 30 days written notice.
Item 115 | Train Run Minimum Car Volume
Minimum LMR train run car volume is 30 cars.
Section 2: Freight Rates
Item 200 | Flat Rate Haulage
- Freight rate base rate is $866.
- Rates are subject to fuel surcharge.
- Mileage allowance will not be paid on private equipment.
- Freight rate applies to all commodities.
- Shipments containing a 49 series STCC are subject to an additional $200 per car charge.
Item 205 | Special Request Haulage
Special request haulage will be addressed on an individual request basis.
Item 210 | Fuel Surcharge
Item 215 | First Time Payer of Freight Policy
First-time payers of freight must be pre-approved by the accounting department prior to shipment.

Item 220 | Freight Invoices
Freight invoices are issued the first business day after interchange with CN. All invoices are due net 30 days from invoice date.
Overdue accounts are charged interest at 1.5% per month, or 19.56% annually.
Item 225 | Railcar Storage Invoices
Storage invoices are issued the first business day after month end. Storage agreement inquiries may be sent to inquiries@lastmountainrailway.com.
Section 3: Supplemental Services

| 340 | Supplemental Train Run | $122 per mile, minimum 100 miles, plus regular flat rate haulage |
| 345 | Over Supplied | $500 per car |
| 350 | Interchange Error Movements | $475 per car |
| 365 | Administration Surcharge | 20% administration surcharge |
Item 315 | Released – Unsafe To Move
If a railcar is determined unsafe due to overloading, improper loading, or improper unloading, LMR will notify the customer in writing. The customer must provide complete written advice within 48 hours regarding removal or adjustment.
Item 355 | Railway-Supplied Rejected Car
- Car suitable for loading: Customer assessed $866 per car.
- Car unsuitable for loading: Delivering railroad assessed 50% of the applicable carload rate.
Item 360 | Rejected Equipment Procedures
Rejected railcars must be processed through CN E-Business and reported by email to logistics@lastmountainrailway.com.
Section 4: Car Hire
Item 400 | LMR Service Area Cut Offs
LMR service areas include:
- Condie
- Bethune
- Chamberlain
- Aylesbury
Item 405 | Car Hire Policy
Car hire is invoiced monthly. LMR covers car hire for the first 48 hours after cars are interchanged online from Davidson.
Item 410 | Car Hire Rates
Car hire charges for all applicable equipment are $1.25 per hour per car.
Item 415 | Notification to LMR
Customers must send billing or billing instructions immediately after completion of loading. Incomplete billing may result in additional car hire charges.
Section 5: Billing
Item 500 | Initial Billing Submission to LMR
Customers must provide complete bill of lading information immediately upon completion of loading.

Billing Submission
Billing and waybill copies should be sent to billing@lastmountainrailway.com immediately after completion of loading.
Item 505 | Change of Initial Billing
Changes to waybills before cars are released from loading may be incorporated at no extra charge. Charges may apply once cars are loaded, released, or in transit.
- $140 per railcar or $2,400 per train block, whichever is lower.
- Additional switching may apply if physical re-ordering is required.
Section 6: Miscellaneous
Item 600 | Staging of Railcars
Staging of loaded railcars and unplanned storage of empty railcars on LMR property is charged at $50 per day per car.
Item 605 | Dangerous Commodity Railcar Inspection
Dangerous commodities staged en route must be inspected after five days and every 48 hours following.
Item 610 | Holidays
LMR does not operate on holidays, including:
- New Year’s Day
- Louis Riel Day
- Good Friday
- Victoria Day
- Canada Day
- August Civic Holiday
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Remembrance Day
- Christmas Day
